Lachie. November 2018.

So, I met Lachie at University a couple of months back after he had finished teaching a class I was impatiently waiting for to finish. My plan that afternoon was to edit photos on one of the computers in that particular class room as my laptop charger blew.

Anyway, the class ended and I politely asked if it was okay to use the computers and there he was smiling. I remembered him from the honours information session that I went to a few weeks before and we got talking. Luckily, I used my fantastic persuasion skills to rope Lachie into being my first male model on 35mm film. A goal of mine at the moment is to get acquainted with the opposite sex behind the lens as all I’ve done on film is female portraiture and other bits and bobs.

Unfortunately, I had been out of practice with communicating proper English to models, let alone a male one! The awkwardness I knew I had shone bright *rolling eyes while facepalming*. But anyhow, it was so nice capturing someone who possesses a kindred spirit when it comes to analogue film. Lachie has completed his honours in cinematography and has a passion to film the old fashion analogue way in the future.

We went to a lovely reserve in Blackburn, Melbourne. It had so much luscious green foliage, the textures only Australia can claim and beautiful flowers that were blooming for spring. All of which you can see below!

I hope you enjoy them!

God Bless,

Laura x
