It’s been a hot minute since I’ve been here on WordPress and I am happy to be back.
I am hoping to pick this back up more regularly and start posting once a week!
So, a lot has been happening in the world these past few months and we will talk about that in greater detail soon. For now, I wanted to share some creative inspiration I had from theses lovely ladies I follow on YouTube, Instagram and their podcast (@homemakerchicpodcast). These lovely ladies are Elliot Shae (The Elliot Homestead) and Angela Reed (The Parisienne Farmgirl). They are amazing creators, Mothers and homemakers who inspire us each week and each day and have been a life line for me during COVID and life itself.
Anyway, here are some photographic creations from their love and encouragement which is also inspired by Jamie Beck, a beautiful American photographer living in Provence, I believe. Jamie did a beautiful 60 day collection of life during COVID and they are stunning works of art. I highly recommend checking her out on Instagram to feed your eyes and soul with beauty.
The idea behind this collection is to embrace and reveal the many skills and craftsmanship of homemakers and what it takes to be one. We aren’t just mindless barbie dolls sweeping and singing, completely naive to society and the world. However, I do love the glamorization of homemaking, because I believe it is glamorous in many ways. We have the ability to find joy in the little things and create beautiful spaces everyday in our homes and everywhere we go. We live and yearn for wholesome lives for all around us and ourselves. Of course, nothing is wrong with being a career woman, and you can still be a homemaker as well as a career woman because it’s all in the mentality. Here we embrace every woman from all walks of life.
I hope this inspires you to get creative and see more of who you are whether that be a homemaker, bacon-bringer or simply a lady in waiting.
